Montel Williams has recently endorsed Sen. David R. Brinkley (R-Frederick) and Del. Dan K. Morhaim (D-Baltimore), and their bill that would legalize medical marijuana in Maryland. Montel Williams was raised in Baltimore and is a local hero. He was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 10 years ago and uses medical marijuana to treat the tremendous amounts of pain he feels on a daily basis. As a result he has become an outspoken advocate for medical marijuana legalization throughout the nation. Williams will be attending a press conference in Annapolis on Monday the 24th with the 2 representatives to promote the bill that would potentially bring medical marijuana to Maryland.
Last year a proposed bill was passed in the state senate to bring medical marijuana to Maryland, but unfortunately did not go through in the house. Hopefully, this year we will see a bill pass that will give many ailing Marylanders access to medical marijuana.
