Cannabis Taxes in Long Beach
Every sale includes California's 15% cannabis excise tax, plus sales tax. Long Beach also taxes adult-use retailers on their gross receipts: the city lowered that rate from 8% to 7% in April 2024 and offers a further credit to stores in good standing. The city tax is charged to the business, and stores set their prices to cover it. Medical patients with a state MMIC card pay no sales tax on medicinal cannabis. Medical Marijuana in Long Beach
33 of the Long Beach stores on this page are licensed for medicinal sales and show a Medical badge.
