Meridian has 6 dispensaries licensed by the Mississippi Department of Revenue. They are medical cannabis stores open only to Mississippi cardholders, registered caregivers and visiting patients with a 15-day nonresident card. Adults without a card cannot buy, since Mississippi has no recreational sales. Meridian chose to allow dispensaries inside city limits in 2022, while Lauderdale County did not at that time, WTOK reported.
Meridian is the main dispensary stop between Jackson and the Alabama line. Half of its stores sit on the frontage roads along I-20 and I-59, which share a route through the city, so they are easy to reach from either interstate. The rest are on city streets, including one on the north side off North Park Drive.
