Oregon Dispensaries by City
Every Oregon city and town with at least one licensed cannabis store is listed here, largest first. Portland alone has more stores than most states. Many Oregon cities and counties, especially in the east of the state, still ban cannabis retail, so stores tend to cluster in the towns that allow them. Click a city to see its stores.

Oregon Dispensaries by Region
Oregon's stores are spread across the state, but the Portland metro and the Willamette Valley hold most of them.
Portland Metro (296 stores)
Multnomah County, which is mostly Portland, has more licensed stores than any other county in either state, and Washington and Clackamas counties add many more in Beaverton, Hillsboro, Milwaukie, Oregon City and the suburbs.
Willamette Valley (209 stores)
Lane County (Eugene and Springfield) is the second-biggest market in the state, followed by Marion County around Salem, with more stores in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon and the wine-country towns of Yamhill County.
Southern Oregon (95 stores)
Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass and Roseburg anchor southern Oregon, a major outdoor-growing region, and Klamath Falls serves the east side of the Cascades.
Oregon Coast (82 stores)
Coastal towns from Astoria and Seaside to Newport, Coos Bay and Brookings have a surprising number of stores for their size, largely serving visitors. Beaches are public places, so consumption there is illegal.
Central Oregon and the Gorge (46 stores)
Bend leads Central Oregon, with more stores in Redmond, La Pine and Madras, and The Dalles and Hood River serve the Columbia River Gorge.
Eastern Oregon (24 stores)
Much of eastern Oregon bans cannabis retail, but Malheur County is an exception: Ontario, on the Idaho border, has an unusually high number of stores that serve Idaho visitors. Taking cannabis into Idaho is illegal.
How Oregon Licenses Dispensaries: The OLCC
Oregon voters legalized recreational cannabis with Measure 91 in 2014, and adults could buy it from dispensaries starting in October 2015. The Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) issues every recreational retail licence, inspects stores and tracks products from seed to sale.
Unlike Washington, Oregon does not set a fixed cap on retail licences (although lawmakers have paused new licence applications at times), which is why the state has so many stores and such low prices. Cities and counties can opt out of allowing cannabis businesses, and many in eastern Oregon have, so stores cluster in towns that allow them. Oregon also has no tribal cannabis stores open to the public at present.
Most Oregon stores also serve the Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP): 692 of the stores in our directory are registered to sell to OMMP cardholders.
Buying Cannabis in Oregon: Age, ID, Hours and Purchase Limits
- Age and ID: You must be 21 or older with a valid government photo ID. Out-of-state licences and passports are accepted. OMMP patients aged 18 to 20 can shop at medical-registered stores.
- Hours: OLCC rules (OAR 845-025-2800) allow sales from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Stores set their own hours within that window, and some cities are stricter.
- Payment: Most stores take cash and debit and have an ATM. Credit cards are rarely accepted.
| Product | Most you can buy per day |
|---|---|
| Usable flower | 2 ounces |
| Extracts and concentrates | 10 grams |
| Inhalable cannabinoid products | 10 grams |
| Solid products | 16 ounces |
| Liquid products | 72 fluid ounces |
| Seeds | 10 |

Oregon Dispensaries That Deliver: OLCC Home-Delivery Endorsements
Oregon allows licensed stores with an OLCC home-delivery endorsement to deliver to customers, and 599 of the stores in our directory hold one, shown with a Delivery badge. Deliveries go only to residential addresses within each store's approved area (not hotels, parks or businesses), orders must be placed before 8 p.m. and delivered before 9 p.m., and the driver checks ID at the door. The same daily purchase limits apply.
Delivery is most common in the Portland metro, Eugene–Springfield and Salem. Cities with the most delivery-endorsed stores include Portland, Eugene and Salem.
Oregon Cannabis Taxes and Prices
Oregon charges a 17% state tax on recreational cannabis sales, and cities and counties can add a local tax of up to 3%, for a maximum of about 20%. OMMP cardholders pay no cannabis tax, and Oregon has no general sales tax, so the price you see plus that tax is what you pay.
Oregon is known for some of the lowest cannabis prices in the country. The state licensed far more growers than its market needed, and competition between stores keeps prices low, especially in Portland, Eugene and other big markets.
Where You Can and Cannot Use Cannabis in Oregon
- Private property only: Using cannabis in public places is illegal, including parks, sidewalks, beaches and trailheads. Most hotels and rentals ban smoking.
- Driving: Driving under the influence of cannabis is a DUII, with the same penalties as drunk driving.
- Federal land: Cannabis is illegal in Crater Lake National Park, national forests such as Mount Hood, Deschutes and Willamette, and other federal property.
- Borders: Taking cannabis into Washington, California or Idaho is illegal. Idaho has not legalized cannabis, and crossing any state line with it is a federal crime.
- No shipping: Oregon stores cannot ship cannabis out of state, and it is illegal to mail it.
