Dispensaries in Utah

Utah has 15 licensed medical cannabis pharmacies in 14 cities and towns, spread across 10 counties. Utah is a medical-only state, and it calls its stores pharmacies for a reason: a licensed pharmacist reviews every sale. To buy, you need a Utah medical cannabis card, or a 21-day card for visiting patients, plus a government-issued photo ID. A cardholder may buy up to 113 grams of unprocessed flower and products with up to 20 grams of total THC in any 28-day period.

Below is every pharmacy on the state's list, grouped by area, with the names behind them, which ones deliver and what to expect at the counter. For the full law, including penalties, read our guide to Utah marijuana laws. To compare other states, start at the national dispensary directory.

Why Utah Has So Few Stores

The number is set by law. Under Utah Code 4-41a-1005, the state licensing board may issue up to 17 medical cannabis pharmacy licenses. That total includes two independent licenses under 4-41a-1006, which must go to pharmacies in medically underserved areas of smaller counties. The state must also divide Utah into at least four regions and spread the licenses so that as many cardholders as possible can reach one.

The result is a short list. Most pharmacies sit along the Wasatch Front, and a few serve whole corners of the state alone. If the nearest one is far away, home delivery may be easier.

Utah Pharmacies by Area

The groups below follow the county the state lists for each pharmacy.

Salt Lake County (4 pharmacies)

Salt Lake City has 2 pharmacies: Dragonfly Wellness on South State Street and Beehive Farmacy on South 3600 West, on the city's west side. Farther south on State Street, Murray has The Forest. South Jordan has a Bloc Pharmacy store on South Jordan Gateway.

Utah County (3 pharmacies)

Every pharmacy in Utah County is a Curaleaf store. Lehi has one on North Thanksgiving Way, Provo has one on North Draper Lane and Springville has one on South 1750 West. Curaleaf's other Utah store is in Park City.

Davis and Weber Counties (2 pharmacies)

WholesomeCo Cannabis is on West 100 North in West Bountiful, in Davis County. It is the only pharmacy in the county. The Flower Shop - Ogden is on South Wall Avenue, and the state lists its address in South Ogden, in Weber County.

Northern Utah: Box Elder and Cache Counties (2 pharmacies)

Beehive Farmacy - Brigham City is on West 1150 South in Brigham City. In Cache Valley, The Flower Shop - Logan is on North Main with a North Logan address. Idaho is a short drive north, but it has no licensed stores. See our Idaho marijuana laws guide before you cross. Wyoming has no licensed stores either; see our Wyoming marijuana laws guide.

Park City and Price: Summit and Carbon Counties (2 pharmacies)

Curaleaf - Park City is on Kearns Boulevard in Park City, in Summit County. To the southeast, Dragonfly Wellness - Price is on East Main Street in Price, the only pharmacy in Carbon County. Colorado, farther east, has licensed stores. Cannabis bought there may not be brought into Utah, even by a cardholder. If you live on that side, see our Colorado dispensaries.

Southern Utah: Iron and Washington Counties (2 pharmacies)

Zion Medicinal is on South Main Street in Cedar City. Bloc Pharmacy - St. George is on South Convention Center Drive in St. George, in Utah's southwest corner. Nevada and Arizona are close, and both have licensed stores, but the same rule applies: nothing bought there may come back into Utah. See our Nevada dispensaries and Arizona dispensaries if you live across the line.

Who Runs Utah's Pharmacies

The 15 pharmacies trade under eight names. Curaleaf has the most, with four. Beehive Farmacy, Bloc Pharmacy, Dragonfly Wellness and The Flower Shop have two each, and The Forest, WholesomeCo Cannabis and Zion Medicinal have one each. Each name with more than one store spreads them across two counties.

Store names follow the state's list, so a name can point to a nearby city: The Flower Shop - Logan sits in North Logan, and The Flower Shop - Ogden sits in South Ogden. The list names the store, not the company that holds the license, so we group stores by the name on the door.

What Happens at a Utah Pharmacy

These counter rules come from Utah Code 4-41a-1101 and 4-41a-1102.

  • Who can walk in: You must be at least 18 and hold a medical cannabis card, unless you are staff or an inspector. A pharmacy may let someone else in only if it tracks that person the whole time and logs the visit.
  • Card and photo ID: A pharmacy may sell only to a cardholder, or a registered visiting patient, who also shows a matching government-issued photo ID.
  • The state system check: Before each sale, the pharmacy checks the state's Electronic Verification System. If you have already reached your limit, it must decline the sale and notify your provider.
  • A pharmacist reviews every sale: Each transaction is reviewed by a pharmacy medical provider who is a licensed pharmacist. Staff must also offer you a one-on-one consultation with the pharmacy medical provider.
  • No dosing guidelines yet? If your provider did not set directions of use and dosing guidelines, you must consult with the pharmacy medical provider before your first purchase.
  • What is on the shelf: Products come in approved "medicinal dosage forms," such as capsules, tinctures, topicals, gelatin cubes, wax and vaporizer cartridges. Flower is sold in labeled containers. Cannabis cigarettes, chocolate-covered products and cannabis beverages are not allowed. Devices that heat cannabis into a vapor without a flame are allowed.
  • The label and the bag: Each container carries the pharmacy's name, your name and your provider's name, and flower carries a legal use termination date. The pharmacy hands you an opaque bag or box if you did not bring one, and you must keep the container in it in public.
  • No use on site: Nobody may consume cannabis on a pharmacy's property, except in an emergency the law allows for.

How to Get a Utah Medical Cannabis Card

  1. Check that you qualify: You must be a Utah resident and at least 21, and have a condition listed in Utah Code 26B-4-203. Patients 18 to 20 need approval from the Compassionate Use Board, which can also approve other conditions case by case.
  2. See a qualified provider: The provider enters a recommendation for you in the state's Electronic Verification System.
  3. Apply and pay the fee: The Center for Medical Cannabis application page walks through the steps. Under Utah Code 26B-4-213, you get an electronic conditional card while the state reviews your file. It is good for up to 60 days.
  4. Keep it current: The Center says a card lasts one year unless your provider sets a shorter term.

Help with cost is new in 2026. According to the Center's 2026 law updates, SB 121 funds pharmacy vouchers of $150 a month for active cardholders enrolled in Medicaid or Medicare.

Home Delivery in Utah

Under Utah Code 4-41a-1201, the state may designate a pharmacy as a home delivery pharmacy if it can take electronic orders and ship safely. A designated pharmacy may deliver even where a county or city ordinance says otherwise. The state's pharmacy list shows six pharmacies with home delivery services, and together they list 23 counties.

Visiting Utah With a Medical Card

  • The 21-day card: Utah does not honor out-of-state cards on their own. Under 26B-4-213, a nonresident patient can register to buy during a visit, for up to 21 days at a time and no more than two visits per calendar year. You need a valid medical card from your home state and a condition that qualifies under Utah law. The non-Utah resident card page has the details.
  • Meet the pharmacist first: Visitors must meet with a medical cannabis pharmacist before their first purchase.
  • Leave your own supply at home: Bringing cannabis bought in another state into Utah is illegal, even for cardholders, and crossing a state line with it is a federal crime.
  • Parks and federal land: Cannabis is illegal on federal land, including Utah's national parks, card or no card. Our federal marijuana law guide has more.

Where You Can Use It

  • Out of public view: Use in public view is prohibited under Utah Code 26B-4-216, except during an emergency medical condition. A first offense is an infraction with a fine of up to $100, and later offenses are class B misdemeanors.
  • Vape, do not smoke: The Center for Medical Cannabis tells patients not to smoke cannabis. Vaping is the legal inhaled option.
  • In the car: Under Utah Code 41-6a-517, driving with any measurable controlled substance in your body is a class B misdemeanor. Cardholders who used lawfully have an affirmative defense to that charge, but impaired driving is still a DUI.
  • Over the limit: Holding up to twice the legal limit is an infraction for a first offense. Above twice the limit, ordinary drug penalties apply.

For possession penalties and the rest of the law, read our guide to Utah marijuana laws, or compare states in our state-by-state cannabis law guides. This page is general information, not medical or legal advice.

Before You Visit a Utah Pharmacy

  • Plan the drive: Outside Salt Lake and Utah Counties, every county on our list has a single pharmacy. Call ahead, or check whether a pharmacy delivers to you.
  • Know what hemp shops sell: Hemp THC products in Utah must be registered with the Department of Agriculture and Food, hold no more than 5 mg of THC per serving and 150 mg per package, and be sold only to adults 21 and older. Anything stronger belongs at a licensed pharmacy.
  • Watch for agency changes: HB 389 (2026) moves medical cannabis duties from the Department of Health and Human Services to the Department of Agriculture and Food, finishing by January 1, 2027.

How we build this directory: Pharmacy names, addresses, counties and delivery areas come from the Utah Center for Medical Cannabis pharmacy locations list, which we last pulled in October 2026. That list does not include license numbers, so our Utah listings do not show them. We check each pharmacy against map data and refresh the list as stores open and close, so our count can differ slightly from the state's. For the rules in every state, see our state-by-state cannabis law guides.
