Bend has 25 dispensaries licensed by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC), spread from downtown to Century Drive and out toward Sunriver. Visitors 21 and older can buy with an ID from any state. Bend's city code and state rules both limit sales to 7 a.m. through 10 p.m., and 21 Bend stores can deliver. The catch for tourists is where to use it: Mt. Bachelor and most trailheads sit on federal land.

Every shop listed comes from the OLCC's active retailer records, with its license number on the listing. Because so many people come to Bend to ski, hike, float the river or camp, this page starts with the part most visitors get wrong, then covers the stores.
Skiing, Hiking or Floating? Where Cannabis Is Off Limits Around Bend
Much of what draws people to Central Oregon is federal land. Mt. Bachelor, the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, Tumalo Falls and most campgrounds and trailheads lie in the Deschutes National Forest, where cannabis remains illegal under federal law. Carrying it there can mean a federal citation, even with a receipt from a licensed Bend store.
In town, Oregon law bans use anywhere open to the public. That covers Drake Park, the Deschutes River Trail, the float launches and take-outs, and brewery patios. Public use is a Class B violation with a presumptive fine of $265. Most hotels and many vacation rentals ban smoking as well, so the legal choice is a private residence or a rental whose owner permits it. Some lodging in Bend markets itself as cannabis-friendly; confirm the house rules before you book. Our guides to where you can smoke in Bend and Bend hotels and vacation rentals go deeper.
Possession limits matter for campers too. Adults may carry up to 2 ounces of flower in public and keep up to 8 ounces at home, but the national forest is federal ground where any amount is illegal. If you plan to drive up Century Drive after a store stop, keep the package sealed: Oregon has no THC blood limit, and officers decide impairment on the spot. Store Hours, the City Tax and Prices in Bend
Bend's own code (Bend Code 7.50.045) matches the state's retail window, so no store in the city can sell before 7 a.m. or after 10 p.m. Each store picks its own schedule inside it, so check the listing.
Oregon's 17% retail tax applies to every recreational purchase, and Bend voters approved a 3% city tax in 2016, which would bring the total inside city limits to about 20%. Your receipt shows each tax line, and stores outside city limits, such as the Sunriver shop, may charge differently. Medical sales to OMMP cardholders are tax-free, and Oregon has no general sales tax. Bend shelf prices run a little higher than in the Willamette Valley but are still low by national standards.
Paying, ID and Buying Limits for Bend Visitors
Bring an unexpired government photo ID showing you are 21; a license from any state, a passport or a military ID all work, and Bend stores often scan it. Most take cash and debit and keep an ATM on site, while credit cards rarely work because cannabis is federally illegal. One person can buy up to 2 ounces of flower, 10 grams of concentrates, 16 ounces of edibles and 72 fluid ounces of drinks per day. Our pages on Oregon purchase limits and whether tourists can buy weed in Bend have the details, and first-timers can read how to pick a dispensary and what to buy.
Delivery and Medical Cards in Bend
21 Bend stores carry an OLCC delivery endorsement, marked with a Delivery badge. They deliver only to residences inside their approved area, not to hotels, parks or businesses, and a vacation rental may or may not qualify, so ask the store. Orders must be in before 8 p.m. and delivered before 9. How Bend delivery works →
24 stores serve OMMP patients, who skip cannabis tax, can buy larger amounts and, at 18 to 20, can shop with a card. Out-of-state medical cards do not carry over. Medical marijuana in Bend →
