Dispensaries in Eugene

Eugene has 51 dispensaries licensed by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC), one of the highest counts per resident in Oregon. Shoppers must be 21 or older with a valid photo ID, and out-of-state licenses are fine. Recreational sales inside city limits carry about 20% in cannabis tax, including Eugene's own 3%, and 42 Eugene stores are approved to deliver.

The stores on this page come straight from the OLCC's active retailer list, and each one shows its state license number. With this many shops in a mid-sized college town, the useful question is which one: below we sort them by neighborhood, by need and by EmX stop, and cover the rules for University of Oregon students and game-day visitors.

Eugene Dispensaries at a Glance

For a city of Eugene's size, 51 licensed cannabis stores is a remarkable number. 46 are registered to serve Oregon Medical Marijuana Program (OMMP) patients and 42 hold a delivery endorsement. Nectar, Phresh Start and Dreams Dispensary each run more than one Eugene location. Springfield, across the Willamette River, shares the metro area but has its own page and its own stores.

Best Dispensaries in Eugene, by What You Need

These picks draw on verified hours, OLCC license records and public Google reviews we checked in October 2026:

Shopping Eugene by Neighborhood and EmX Stop

Our six area guides list every store with its hours, specialties and review highlights.

Downtown Eugene

Eleven shops near the Hult Center, Kesey Square and Skinner Butte, including 5.0-star Dreams Willamette, Oregrown and Flowr of Lyfe. Eugene Station, the main bus hub, is a short walk from most of them.

The Whiteaker and W 7th Avenue

Eight shops around Ninkasi and along W 6th, 7th and 11th, with some of the cheapest grams in the city.

University of Oregon, Franklin Boulevard and Autzen

Seven shops near campus, Hayward Field, Matthew Knight Arena and Autzen Stadium.

West Eugene and Bethel

Nine shops on W 11th, Highway 99 and Barger, including Dreams Obie St, rated 5.0 by 700 reviewers.

River Road and Santa Clara

Four shops in north Eugene, among them Nectar River Rd, the most-reviewed store in the city.

South Eugene and Near LCC

Seven shops, including free-delivery favorites Amazon Organics and Moss Crossing and High 5 off I-5.

Without a car: Lane Transit District's EmX line runs along Franklin Boulevard between campus and Springfield and west along the W 6th/7th and W 11th corridors, which together hold more than a dozen stores. Drivers will find parking lots at most stores on W 11th, River Road and Coburg Road; downtown and Whiteaker shops mostly rely on street parking. Prices for the same product can differ noticeably between neighborhoods, so check online menus before you ride across town.

UO Students, Duck Game Days and Campus Rules

Being enrolled at the University of Oregon changes nothing at the counter: you still need to be 21, unless you are 18 to 20 and hold an Oregon OMMP card, in which case you can buy at a medical-registered store. What does change is where you can keep it. UO bans cannabis on campus and in university housing, because the school receives federal funding and federal law still treats cannabis as illegal. That includes residence halls even if every roommate is over 21.

On football Saturdays at Autzen Stadium and meet days at Hayward Field, stores along Franklin Boulevard and downtown fill up before kickoff and after the final whistle. Using cannabis in tailgate lots, at the stadium or on the Ruth Bascom riverside path is public use, an Oregon Class B violation with a presumptive $265 fine. Plan to consume at a private residence where the owner allows it; our pages on where to smoke weed in Eugene and Eugene hotels explain the options.

Eugene's 3% City Tax and Local Prices

Eugene voters approved a 3% city tax on recreational cannabis in November 2016, and it has been collected since January 2017. Add Oregon's 17% retail tax and you pay about 20% on top of the shelf price inside city limits. That is the most any Oregon city can charge, and it is the same rate Springfield shoppers pay across the river. OMMP cardholders are exempt from both taxes, and Oregon has no separate sales tax.

Even with the tax, prices are low. Oregon licensed more growers than its market could absorb, and dozens of Eugene stores compete for the same customers, so daily specials, first-visit discounts and loyalty points are common. The Whiteaker and West 7th shops are where reviewers most often report bargain grams.

Before Your First Eugene Dispensary Visit

  • ID: An unexpired government photo ID proving you are 21: any U.S. driver's license or state ID, a passport or a military ID. Expired cards and pictures of IDs are turned away.
  • Payment: Cash or debit at almost every store, usually with an ATM inside. Credit cards are the exception because cannabis remains federally illegal.
  • Hours: State rules allow sales between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., and each Eugene shop picks its own hours within that window.
  • How much: In one day a store can sell one person up to 2 ounces of flower, 10 grams of concentrates, 16 ounces of edibles and 72 fluid ounces of drinks. Full Oregon purchase limits →
  • Delivery: Endorsed stores deliver to residential addresses in their approved area, never to hotels or dorms. Orders close at 8 p.m., and the driver will ask for your ID.
  • Medical: 46 of Eugene's 51 stores serve OMMP patients, who skip cannabis tax and can buy larger amounts. Medical cards from other states are not honored for tax-free sales.

Heading Up the McKenzie or Into the Willamette National Forest

Eugene is the jumping-off point for the McKenzie River, Waldo Lake and the Cascades. Most of that country is Willamette National Forest, which is federal land: possession there, including at Forest Service campgrounds and trailheads, can bring a federal citation. Driving after using cannabis is a DUII in Oregon, and there is no THC blood limit to hide behind; officers judge impairment directly. If you buy before a trip, keep it sealed and leave it at your lodging.

Strains You Will See on Eugene Menus

Lane County shelves change weekly, but familiar names include Silver Haze, Cherry Diesel, Banana Runtz, OG Kush, Granddaddy Purple and White Widow. To pick between them, start with our guides to choosing a strain, sativa and indica and terpenes.

What is the marijuana tax in Eugene?

About 20% for recreational buyers: Oregon's 17% plus Eugene's voter-approved 3% city tax. OMMP cardholders pay neither.

Do any Eugene dispensaries take credit cards?

A few do. Green Health Eugene is one; most stores take only cash and debit.

Which Eugene dispensaries open earliest?

Can I smoke weed at an Autzen tailgate?

Where can I buy clones in Eugene?
