We source every store from the OLCC's active retailer list, and each listing shows its license number. Beaverton's shops line a few busy commuter roads west of Portland, so we group them by corridor and explain how shopping here differs from shopping in the city next door.

Beaverton, Oregon, Not Washington State

Beaverton sits in Washington County, Oregon, a name that confuses visitors and the occasional website. The rules here are Oregon's: the OLCC licenses every store, sales run from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., and one person can buy up to 2 ounces of flower, 10 grams of concentrates, 16 ounces of edibles and 72 fluid ounces of drinks a day. Washington State's cannabis laws do not apply.

Some shops on this list have a Beaverton mailing address but sit in unincorporated Washington County, in places like Cedar Mill or Aloha. We include them because Beaverton is the city on their license.

Beaverton Dispensaries by Corridor

Of the 18 stores, 17 can deliver. Nectar runs four, and The Green Planet and La Mota have two each. ZIP code 97005, central Beaverton, holds nearly half.

Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway

About three stores on the east side of town, handy from Raleigh Hills and southwest Portland.

Tualatin Valley Highway

About three stores along TV Highway, heading west toward Aloha and Hillsboro.

Canyon Road and central Beaverton

SW Canyon Road and nearby SW 105th Avenue and SW Shaw Street put several stores within reach of the Beaverton Transit Center and the MAX Blue Line.

Cedar Hills and Allen Boulevard

Shops on SW Cedar Hills Boulevard and SW Allen Boulevard serve north and south Beaverton.

Shopping on a Commute: Canyon Road, US 26 and the MAX

A large share of Beaverton's workforce commutes along Canyon Road, TV Highway and US 26, and most of the city's stores sit on those routes. If you want to skip the line, Oregon lets licensed stores hand orders to customers curbside, within 150 feet of the shop, between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.; ask whether your store offers it.

Two cautions for commuters. First, some employers, federal contractors in particular, still drug test for cannabis no matter what Oregon allows, so know your company's policy. Second, Oregon has no THC blood limit for drivers: officers assess impairment directly, and a cannabis DUII is the same offense as an alcohol one. Keep purchases sealed and out of reach on the drive home.

If you ride the MAX Blue Line, several stores are a short walk from a station. Using cannabis on a train, at a platform or anywhere open to the public is a Class B violation in Oregon, with a presumptive $265 fine.

Why the Tax Bill Differs From Portland's

Portland's 3% city cannabis tax applies only to sales inside Portland city limits, so it does not apply in Beaverton. Every recreational purchase here still includes Oregon's 17% state tax, and Oregon localities can add up to 3% of their own. Your receipt itemizes each tax, and the City of Beaverton or Washington County website can confirm local rates. OMMP cardholders pay no cannabis tax, and Oregon has no sales tax. Competition with Portland's hundreds of stores keeps Beaverton shelf prices low.

First Visit to a Beaverton Dispensary

  • ID: An unexpired government photo ID showing you are 21. Licenses from any state, passports and military IDs are accepted; phone photos of an ID are not.
  • Payment: Cash or debit, with an ATM in most stores. Credit cards are rarely taken.
  • Help at the counter: Tell the budtender if you are new, and start with a low dose. Our guides to finding a good dispensary and what to buy prepare you.
  • Where to use it: Only on private property where the owner agrees. Parks, sidewalks, parking lots and most hotels are off limits.

Our guide to Oregon marijuana laws covers possession, home grows and penalties.

Delivery and OMMP in Beaverton

All 18 Beaverton stores are registered to serve Oregon Medical Marijuana Program patients, so cardholders can shop anywhere on this list without paying cannabis tax and can buy more than recreational customers. Patients aged 18 to 20 can shop with their card. Oregon does not recognize medical cards from Washington or other states.

Delivery-endorsed stores bring orders to residences in their approved area, not hotels or offices. Orders must be placed before 8 p.m. and delivered before 9 p.m., and the driver checks your age at the door.
