About AmeriCanna Rx

AmeriCanna Rx is on NE Sandy Boulevard in Sumner, the Northeast Portland neighborhood between Parkrose and the Columbia Slough, about 2.4 miles from Portland International Airport. The shop says it has served medical and recreational customers since 2014, which makes it one of the longer-running dispensaries in the city, and Sandy Boulevard here is a cannabis row: La Mota, Green Front and Doctor's Orders are all within half a mile.

Selection is the draw. A reviewer who has shopped there since before recreational sales began calls the menu vast, the place to find something nobody else has, and Google's review summary highlights strain, product and oil selection. The store runs a 'POG' program — orders of $25 or more earn a collectible POG that can be stacked toward rewards — along with Friday-to-Monday deals and seasonal events such as a Halloween sale and a Black Friday 'Reefer Madness' weekend.

AmeriCanna Rx holds OLCC medical-retailer and home-delivery endorsements, takes online orders for pickup, and is open 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Google lists a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking lot and tags the store LGBTQ+ friendly.

What Customers Say About AmeriCanna Rx

4.5 out of 5 from 869 Google reviews · read the reviews on Google

With 869 Google reviews averaging 4.5 stars, AmeriCanna Rx is one of the most-reviewed shops in Portland. Customers praise deep concentrate and flower menus, strong deals and patient budtenders — Mona, Alec, John and Max are named repeatedly — and several say staff will bring orders out to the car on crowded days if you call ahead.

The recurring frustrations are about logistics: one shopper's online reservation sold out before pickup, and another wished the rosin was on display rather than kept in trays behind the counter. A few reviewers found a budtender less knowledgeable than expected, but most negative experiences were followed by a management response.
