Why 7 a.m.?

Under OAR 845-025-2800, Oregon retailers may sell between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. local time. Each store chooses its own hours inside that window, so 7 a.m. is the earliest any Oregon dispensary can open. In Washington, sales cannot start until 8 a.m. — so Vancouver residents often cross to Hayden Island’s Nectar Jantzen Beach for a 7 a.m. stop. Bringing cannabis back across the state line is illegal under federal law.
