About Refinery

Refinery is a small independent dispensary on NE Broadway in Sullivan's Gulch, between Lloyd Center and the Hollywood District (each about 0.8 miles away). It describes itself as a cannabis connoisseur dispensary, and reviewers call it a quaint, cute little shop.

Google's review summary highlights rosin, cartridges, flower selection and very nice, chill staff, and regulars praise fresh flower, early-bird specials and brands such as Echo Electuary. A long-time neighbor calls it the best dispensary in Portland. Products are kept in a secure back area, so staff fetch your order and change from another room.

Refinery is licensed for recreational sales without an OLCC medical endorsement, is open 9 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. daily according to Google, and lists a wheelchair-accessible entrance. A January 2026 regular reported a temporary closure with little notice, so call (971) 383-1929 before a special trip.

What Customers Say About Refinery

4.7 out of 5 from 109 Google reviews · read the reviews on Google

Refinery averages 4.7 stars from 109 Google reviews. Fans describe staff who treat them like family — Cookie, Deshawne and Courtney are named — and a manager who resolved a problem after a phone call.

Critics say there is usually only one budtender, which means waits, that the strain list rotates less than at bigger shops, and that the fetch-from-the-back system feels awkward. A couple of reviewers report inconsistent decisions about who gets served.

This summary is written by The Weed Street Journal from a sample of public Google reviews. It is not a paid endorsement.
