Rules Beyond Etiquette: Law and Safety

- No driving. The CDC says cannabis, like alcohol, negatively affects several skills required for safe driving, and can slow reaction time and decisions. Arrange a ride before the blunt comes out.
- Let people pass. Nobody should feel pressured. Smoke has risks: NIDA notes that cannabis smoke contains many of the same toxins, irritants and carcinogens as tobacco smoke, and some people have lung or other health reasons to skip it.
- Keep it away from kids. The CDC warns that children who consume THC products can become very sick.
