Capitol Hill is Seattle’s densest neighborhood and its nightlife center, with the bars and restaurants of Pike/Pine and Broadway, Cal Anderson Park and, at its northern end, Volunteer Park. Just downhill to the southeast, the Central District around 23rd Avenue is one of Seattle’s historic neighborhoods and the place where Uncle Ike’s opened its first store in 2014. Because every shop here is within a mile or so of the next, it is easy to compare prices on foot or by bus.

Washington allows adults 21 and over to buy up to 1 ounce of flower, 7 grams of concentrate, 16 ounces of solid edibles and 72 ounces of infused liquids per purchase. But consuming cannabis in view of the public — including Cal Anderson Park, Volunteer Park, sidewalks and bar patios — is a civil infraction under RCW 69.50.445, and Washington has no licensed consumption lounges. Most Capitol Hill apartments, hotels and short-term rentals ban smoking, so check before you light up.
