Dispensaries in Scottsdale

Scottsdale has 4 dispensaries licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS). Resort guests, golfers and other visitors 21 or older can buy with an out-of-state driver license or a passport. Every Scottsdale store is a dual licensee that also serves medical patients. Three of the four sit in the Scottsdale Airpark business district, not in Old Town.

For a city that draws so many tourists, Scottsdale has few dispensaries, and they are not where most visitors stay. Old Town and the downtown nightlife district have none. Instead, the stores are grouped in the north-central business area around Scottsdale Airport, several miles up Scottsdale Road or the Loop 101 from Old Town. Scottsdale also has one of the lowest city tax rates on cannabis in the Valley.

Three stores share the 85260 ZIP around the Airpark, between Hayden Road and the Loop 101. The fourth is in 85258, farther south. Each listing has directions and a phone number.

Scottsdale Airpark: Curaleaf Dispensary Scottsdale is on Greenway Hayden Loop, Trulieve Scottsdale is on North Hayden Road, and Sol Flower Scottsdale Airpark is on 78th Way. All three are within a couple of miles of each other.

South of the Airpark: Mint Cannabis Scottsdale on Manzanita Drive is the closest Scottsdale store to Old Town and the southern resorts.

Staying in south Scottsdale? Stores just over the line in Tempe and Phoenix may be closer than any of these four.

Scottsdale and Arizona Cannabis Laws: Purchase Limits, Public Use and Driving

The legal ceiling for one purchase is an ounce, and the concentrate portion cannot exceed 5 grams. That ounce is also the possession limit for adults; having up to 2.5 ounces is a petty offense.

  • Resorts and rentals: Arizona lets hotels and other property owners ban cannabis, so check your resort's or vacation rental's policy before you buy.
  • Golf and Old Town: Streets, sidewalks and patios open to the public count as public places, where smoking is a petty offense, and golf clubs, as property owners, can ban cannabis outright.
  • Trails: The McDowell Sonoran Preserve and the city's other trails are public open space.
  • Flying: Consuming aboard any moving vehicle, aircraft included, is illegal, and TSA refers cannabis it finds to police.
