Cannabutter
22 year old Pennsylvania woman, Stevie Hickey, admitted to the police on May 10th that she fed marijuana laced butter on toast to a 12 year old she was babysitting. 2 other children in the home were also fed marijuana laced butter. The mother of the 12 year old called the police in Upper Burrell Township on Hickey, which prompted a search on Hickeys home. The search subsequently turned up marijuana laced margarine in a tub of “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter”.
Hickey said that she told the 12 year old that it was parsley butter and subsequently fed it to the children on a piece of toast. By no means is this action appropriate. Giving any sort of drug unknowingly to anyone is legally and ethically wrong, and the fact that it was given to a 12 year old child is not going to help Hickey legally at all.
Marijuana is illegal as most everyone knows, but this kind of action really stoops to a new low of stupidity. Sorry Stevie, but did you not think that giving a 12 year old pot laced toast could backfire on you in some way? Be responsible and be safe for the sake of advancing the legalization movement. This kind of irresponsibility from one person can tarnish people’s views about marijuana use and we do not need any more road blocks on our path to reform.
