Glueberry is a balanced hybrid cannabis strain bred from a Gorilla Glue #4 and OG Kush cross combined with Blueberry, known for a fruity blueberry and floral flavor over a kushy base. It is best known as Dutch Passion’s Glueberry O.G., a feminized release in the breeder’s USA Special range. Leafly lists it around 19% THC, and the breeder calls it noticeably stronger than Blueberry.

Where Glueberry Comes From
The best documented Glueberry is Dutch Passion’s Glueberry O.G. The breeder says it first crossed Gorilla Glue #4 with OG Kush and then added its Blueberry, aiming for the resin and power of the American hybrids with Blueberry’s fruit. Leafly lists Glueberry with the aka Glueberry OG and the same three-way pedigree, describing it as an evenly balanced hybrid. Dutch Passion’s own page lists a 2nd prize in the indica category at the Home Grown Cup Netherlands in 2017 and a 3rd prize in the outdoor category there in 2018.
The name is not unique. Expert Seeds sells a feminized Glueberry made from Blueberry and Gorilla Glue #4 without the OG Kush, and there are autoflower versions from Dutch Passion, MSNL and others. These are related but not identical plants, so the breeder on the seed pack or label matters. Leafly lists Gooberry Moonshine as an offspring.
Glueberry Effects: What It Feels Like
Leafly reviewers most often tag Glueberry aroused, relaxed and euphoric, with energetic, happy and uplifted close behind, and the site describes it as mostly energizing. Reviewers describe a euphoric start that eases into a chilled-out state. Dutch Passion frames it the same way: a deeply relaxing body effect paired with an uplifting, mentally lively high.
It sits in the middle of the day-to-night range. A small amount reads as social and upbeat, while a heavier session leans toward the couch. The breeder adds that letting the plant flower an extra week or two produces a heavier, more sedating effect, so harvest timing can change how a given batch feels. Its THC is above average, so newer consumers should start low.
Glueberry Terpenes, Aroma and Flavor
Blueberry is the headline. Leafly’s top flavor tags are violet, blueberry and lavender, and its description mentions citrus hints over the berry. Dutch Passion describes a distinct kush aroma with fruity berry notes from the Blueberry side, and says the smoke is a little less sweet than straight Blueberry. Growers also mention pine, diesel and hashy notes from the Gorilla Glue and OG Kush.
Leafly’s terpene data lists myrcene first, then caryophyllene and pinene. Myrcene supports the earthy, fruity base, caryophyllene adds pepper and spice, and pinene gives the pine edge.
- Myrcene: earthy, musky and herbal, also found in mango and hops
- Beta-caryophyllene: peppery and spicy, also found in black pepper and cloves
- Pinene: fresh pine, also found in pine needles and rosemary
Terpene levels vary from grower to grower and batch to batch, so check the lab label on the package. Learn more in our guide to cannabis terpenes.
Side Effects and How to Use Glueberry
Leafly reviewers most often report dry mouth, then anxious feelings and dry eyes. The anxious edge tends to come with larger doses during the euphoric first phase. Keep water nearby and pace yourself.
With Glueberry, as with any strain, a smaller dose usually avoids anxiety or grogginess. Our cannabis safety guide covers what to do if you take too much.
Do People Use Glueberry for Medical Reasons?
Leafly readers most often report reaching for Glueberry during anxiety (34%), depression (18%) and stress (15%), and its description mentions PTSD. These are personal reports, not clinical evidence.

Growing Glueberry
- Difficulty: Easy
- Flowering: 8–9 weeks
- Yield: Very high (breeder: 400–500 g/m² indoors in good conditions)
- Height: About 1–1.5 m
- Environment: Indoor or outdoor, any grow medium
Dutch Passion rates Glueberry O.G. as robust and suitable for beginners, with 8–9 weeks of flowering after about 3–4 weeks of veg, roughly 12 weeks from seed to harvest. The breeder gives indoor yields of 400–500 g per square meter, a height of about 1 to 1.5 meters, and says it works indoors, outdoors and in any medium. SCROG growers can extend veg to 5–6 weeks. The buds are dense and very resinous, which makes the strain popular for hash and rosin, and the breeder recommends strong airflow late in flower in warm or humid conditions. Outdoor growers facing a wet Pacific Northwest autumn should take that advice seriously and watch for bud rot.
Home-grow rules depend on the state: adults can grow at home in states such as California (six plants per residence), Michigan (12 per residence) and Oregon (four per household), while Washington and Illinois allow home growing only for registered medical patients.
