Orange Park has 11 dispensaries licensed by the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). They sell only to patients in Florida's Medical Marijuana Use Registry and their registered caregivers; there is no recreational counter and no out-of-state card is honored. Nine of the 11 stores sit on one road, Blanding Boulevard, and each of the 11 belongs to a different company.
For Jacksonville's southwest suburbs, Blanding Boulevard is the dispensary row. Orange Park, a small town in Clay County, was the first municipality in the county to allow medical marijuana treatment centers, in a 3 to 2 council vote reported by Clay Today, while some members worried it would be the only one. Clay County later allowed them in unincorporated areas as a conditional use, and the stores now run from the town south along Blanding into the 32065 ZIP. Fleming Island, Oakleaf and Middleburg are a short drive away, and Naval Air Station Jacksonville sits just to the north.

Visiting a Dispensary in Orange Park: ID, Payment and Hours
Patients show their registry ID card along with a Florida driver license or state ID. Before anything is bagged, the staff confirm in the registry that your card is active and that the product fits your physician's certification. Payment options depend on the company, and cannabis stores seldom accept credit cards. By statute, no Florida store may dispense between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m.
Orange Park and Florida Cannabis Laws: Purchase Limits, Public Use and Driving
Federal property and service members. NAS Jacksonville and other military installations are federal property, where a Florida card offers no protection, and service members are subject to military drug rules regardless of state law. Civilian federal employees and contractors should check their own drug-testing policies.
Purchase limits. A store may not dispense more than a 70-day supply in 70 days, or more than 2.5 ounces of smokable flower in 35 days without an OMMU exception.
Public use and driving. Using medical marijuana in public, in a vehicle or on school grounds is a misdemeanor, apart from non-smokable low-THC products in some of those places. Commuting on I-295 or Blanding while impaired is DUI. Our Florida marijuana laws guide has more, and our cannabis laws hub covers Georgia, an hour north.
Cannabis Taxes in Orange Park
Patients pay no sales tax: Florida law exempts medical marijuana and delivery devices. Each company must post product prices online, including a 30, 50 and 70-day supply, which makes comparing 11 different menus on one road practical. Our 2026 price comparison shows how Florida stacks up.
Medical Marijuana in Orange Park
The OMMU's process has four steps: see a qualified physician in person, get entered in the registry, apply for the card ($75, renewed every year) and buy from a treatment center. The OMMU says a complete application takes about five business days, plus about five more to print the card, and the approval email can be used in the meantime. Caregivers must be 21 or older and Florida residents.
